CD: Light in the Lockdown - Chris Skinner

From Fr Chris Skinner:

Thanks for your interest in my new album 'Light in the Lockdown'. I am delighted to present 10 new songs that were composed during the countrywide lockdown in Aotearoa/New Zealand late March through to May 2020.

I have celebrated the tireless work of Supermarket Workers, the wonderful gesture by 100 year old Captain Sir Tom Moore supporting the essential health workers in England, the volunteers who prepare food parcels for those needing food assistance at this time of heightened insecurity, creative activities employed during lockdown and several songs  inspired by times of prayer and my ministry as a priest during these months.

Special thanks to Peter van Gent and all the musicians involved including Fr James Lyons for the lyrics to 'You Just Came' and Peter's lyrics to 'Pathways'.

I hope you find my new album uplifting, inspiring and encouraging as we continue to deal with the challenges of the Pandemic.
